I don't have much time today but I heard someone mention this ad and it reminded me that I wanted to talk about it.
No doubt you've seen the recent Subway campaign that inexplicably uses a monkey to illustrate I don't know what. There's "games" or "memory tests" or "puzzles", but they're all ridiculous, random, and in my opinion are not in any way cute or appealing. To me, anyway. It's insulting. I hate these ads.
I apologize, this is in French. But don't worry, it doesn't make much of a difference.
Now, if you're going to incorporate random animals and make ads that don't make sense, you might as well go all the way. Like Quizno's did with the Sponge Monkeys a couple of years ago. You'd be hard pressed to find a more random, disturbing image connected to food. And you know what? It was GOLD. In my humble opinion.
Just try to get that out of your head for the rest of the day. THEY GOT A PEPPER BAR!
